The only ones I need to buy for are:
Flower girl
Ring Bearer
Program attendants
My parents already said they don%26#039;t want gifts, so I%26#039;m just planning on giving them a nice card with a handwritten thank-you letter.
My maternal grandparents are paying for the flowers, so I thought I%26#039;d get them a card too, but they don%26#039;t expect a gift. My paternal grandparents didn%26#039;t offer any sort of help, so I don%26#039;t think they need a card at all.
Do I need to get my wedding planner a gift (not sure if they can accept gifts at the hotel where I%26#039;m getting married), so should I just get her a card?
We are also having my fiance%26#039;s uncle and mother play a piece of music... gifts for them too??? This is too much to worry about. I dont%26#039; have a lot to spend... I%26#039;ve already spent 10k of my own money on this wedding.
Is okay to send thank-you gifts after the wedding (when I know I%26#039;ll have money again and can afford something nicer?)
What to spend on my wedding attendant gifts... I%26#039;m broke!?
Flower girl: A necklace from Claires (about $10-15) or a Wedding Barbie (About $20), Build-a-bear certificate.
Ring bearer: A remote control car ($20 and up),
Program attendant. Go to Dollar general and buy some nice looking candles.
No need for gift for the wedding planner,. A TY card will suffice
Every one else gets a TY card.
Good luck
Reply:Go to bath and body works for the girls.
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry about the planner but everyone else should receive a gift before the wedding check out orientaltrading.com I saw nice personalized keychains and little things for flowergirls they are very inexpensive so check it out
Reply:I did simple bath and body things for the girl in a mesh tote that I purchased on line with their names stitched in to them. I think all together I spent $20-$25 on each of my girls (I had 1 Matron of Honor and 5 bridesmaids), and I also bought them a bracelet that I found that I absolutely loved which was kind of pricey but they ALL loved it... which is unusual for wedding jewelry. I bought the two flower girls a little bracelet to wear that day as well.
We didn%26#039;t have to pay our offciant because she is like a member of our family, very close family friend, so we gave her a Thank You card and a gift certificate to Bed, Bath %26amp; Beyond.
But, you can never go wrong with bath stuff... :) Every girl loves it, or a set of candles!
Reply:I gave my flower girl a monogramed beach towel (my wedding was right before summer time and her family lives in the pool) and her tiara, didnt have a ring bearer, but I think it would still be cool for him, and my program people and guestbook girl got tyler candles. I gave my servers and singers manicures at a local spa. I did give my wedding director a gift, but she was my aunt, so I felt a little more obligated to give her something than I would have someone I was paying to do it! I got her an EBay gift certificate, shes addicted to it so it was perfect for her! You could get the girls jewelry, www.sammoon.com has really cute stuff thats VERY affordable, as well as purses and things like that that could be a good idea! The beach towels costed me around $18, so it was affordable as well! Hope it helps!
Reply:Thank you Gifts?? It%26#039;s called %26quot;THANK YOU CARDS%26quot; letting everyone know you appreciated their attendance at your wedding and also if they sent gifts, include an extra thank you for that in the card. I%26#039;ve NEVER in my life heard of anyone giving a thank you gift to say thank you for a gift they%26#039;ve received from that party. Girlfriend, you%26#039;re shelling out more money than necessary, and on things that aren%26#039;t even tradition. And no your wedding planner doesn%26#039;t need or deserve a gift, that%26#039;s THEIR JOB. Your fiances Uncle and Aunt also don%26#039;t need a gift, this is YOUR wedding and consider it a gift from them to be playing at your wedding, I%26#039;m sure they aren%26#039;t expecting anything anyway. I%26#039;ve been to enough weddings and in several myself. The only people who have gotten gifts from the bride n%26#039; groom were the wedding party, meaning brides maids, grooms men, and flower girl and ring boy, OH, and also the priest/or whoever is performing the ceremony actually he gets money. Nobody else has ever been given anything.
Reply:Well I can tell you what I did for my flower girl. I gave her the basket and bought her a small tiara to wear in the wedding that she got to keep. She was thrilled because she got a tiara and it made her look so cute for the pics. I didn%26#039;t buy anything for the Program attendants. I only purchased gifts for the wedding party to tell you the truth. For the people that sang in the wedding I let them keep the sheets of music I had purchased knowing that both of them could use them for practicing later and I knew that it would be a great reminder of my special day. And yes it is okay to send thank you gifts after the wedding but to tell you the truth when it comes to weddings it isn%26#039;t about the other people it is about you and most of these people generally just want to be there for you on your special day. If you do give gifts personalize them with your touch. For example: a picture of you from the wedding made with a handmade paper frame the can get the picture frame. I guarantee that if these are loved ones the picture will capture their hearts.
Reply:when you give out favors jazz theirs up with something more personal than the others including a card and personally give it to them and thank them.
